  • Stovetop: Preferred method. 1. Add 1 quart of water into a medium sauce pan and completely submerge 1 bag of Riceland Boil-in-Bag brown rice. 2. Bring water to a boil and boil uncovered for 10 minutes. 3. Remove bag from water using fork or tongs and drain. Cut open and empty cooked rice into serving dish (add salt and butter, if desired). Microwave: 1. In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish, completely submerge 1 bag of Riceland Boil-in-Bag brown rice in about 1 quart of water. 2. Microwave on high for 18 to 20 minutes. Cooking times are approximate, as microwave ovens may vary. Adjust cooking time as needed. 3. Remove bag from water using fork or tongs and drain. Cut open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish (add salt and butter, if desired). For best results use stovetop cooking method. for firmer rice, reduce cooking time. For softer rice, increase cooking time.
