Ingredients
Whole Grain Steel Cut Oats, Sugar, Dried Blueberries, Dried Cranberries, Salt, Natural Flavor.- Microwave preparation recommended. Follow these steps for the perfect start to your day. 1. Empty packet into a deep microwave safe bowl. 2. Add up 2/3 cup of water. Stir. Oat must be prepared with water (To avoid boil over, refrain from adding milk until after cooking). 3. Adjust microwave setting to 50% power. 4. Microwave for 2-1/2 to 3 minutes (Instruction are based on 1100 watt microwave oven. Additional cook time required for lower wattage microwaves. See side panel). Caution: Bowl will be hot. 5. Stir well and wait 2 to 3 minutes for oatmeal to thicken before serving. Alternative stove top preparation. 1. Boil up to 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. 2. Stir in contents of pouch, and reduce heat to medium. 3. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 3-4 minutes. 4. Remove oatmeal from saucepan, allowing 2-3 minutes to cool and thicken. Microwaves are all different and may cause boil over or undercooked oatmeal. See below table for suggested cooking times according to microwave oven wattage (Note: 50% Power required/suggested for all microwave ovens and times). Approximate Microwave Wattage: Suggested Cook Time on 50% Power: 1300W: 2:15 - 2:30; 1100W: 2:30 - 3:00; 900W: 2:45 - 3:15; 700W: 3:00 - 4:00. See back panel for full cooking directions.
