About Pilot Knob Comforts: Pilot Knob Comforts is brought to you by a multi-generational family farm in Oneida, Illinois. Now in the sixth generation. We started farming here in 1877 just north of Pilot Knob. That name comes from the natural cropping the glaciers left behind-an odd high point knob between the Mississippi and Illinois rivers otherwise surrounded by dark prairie soils. We hope you find comfort in the bounty of our family farm-we enjoyed providing it!

When the kernels pop, add the remaining kernels in an even layer. 3. Once popping begins, gently shake the pan back and forth across the burner. 4. When popping slows to a fewer seconds between pops, remove pan from heat, remove lid, dump into wide bowl, and enjoy! Caution hot!
