Contains wheat ingredients. May contain milk and soybean ingredients.- All You Need: 1 stick (1/2 cup) of butter (For best results, butter should be completely softened or slightly melted. To soften butter directly from the refrigerator, heat in microwave unwrapped for 10 to 15 seconds. Margarine or spread may be used in place of butter), 1 egg, 2 tbsp flour (for cutout cookies). 1. Set oven to 375 degrees F. 2. Combine cookie mix, soften butter and egg in medium bowl. Mix until soft dough is formed. For Cutout Cookies: Roll out dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thick. Use 2 to 3-inch cookie cutter to cut out cookie shapes. Place onto ungreased baking sheet 1 inch apart. For Drop Cookies: Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet 2 inches apart. 3. Bake at 375 degrees F 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Allow to cool for 2 minutes before removing from baking sheet. Store cookie in airtight container. Tip: Allow baking sheet to cool between batches. If desired, substitute 1/2 cup vegetable shortening and 1 tablespoon water for 1/2 cup butter. We recommend using Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening. Tips & Tricks: Make sandwich cookies by spreading your favorite flavor of Pillsbury Frosting on the flat sides of cooled cookies. Gently press two cookies together to form sandwiches; Decorate cooled cookies with your favorite flavor of Pillsbury Frosting. Top immediately with decorator sprinkles for a festive treat; To create swirls of fun, apply your favorite variety of Pillsbury Easy Frost No-Fuss Frosting on top of cooled cookies in a spiral pattern.
