May contain milk and soybean ingredients.- What You Will Need: 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter softened or slightly melted (For best results, butter should be completely softened or slightly melted. To soften butter directly from the refrigerator, heat in microwave unwrapped for 10-15 seconds. Margarine or spread may be used in place of butter), 1 egg. Baking Instructions: 1. Set oven to 375 degrees F. Set peppermint candy pouch aside. 2. Combine cookie mix, soften butter and egg in medium-sized bowl. Mix until soft dough is formed. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. 3. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Sprinkle peppermint candy on the tops of cookies immediately after removing from oven. Press candy down into the cookies with the bottom of a glass. Allow to cool for 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Store cookie in airtight container. Tip: Allow cookie sheet to cool between batches. Tips & Tricks: Make sandwich cookies by spreading your favorite variety of Pillsbury Frosting on the flat sides of baked cooled cookies. Press two cookies gently together to form sandwiches; Remove cap and foil seal from container of your favorite Pillsbury Creamy Supreme Frosting. Microwave on high 20 to 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. Dip one half of each cooled cookie into frosting, removing excess by scraping bottom of cookie on side of container. Sprinkle frosted area with peppermint candy pieces. Let stand until set.
