    This bag has microscopic holes to let the rice breathe. It is not waterproof. Please do not place on wet surfaces.
  • 1 cup brown rice. 1-1/2 to 2 cups water. Cooking Directions: Combine 1 cup Nishiki Brown Rice and 1-1/2 to 2 cups water in medium saucepan. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes before cooking. By preference, add salt, butter, cheese or other flavoring. Bring to a soft boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook for 50 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; let stand covered for 10 minutes before serving. Fluff with fork and serve. Makes 3 cups cooked rice, or 4 (3/4 cup each) servings. Note: If using electric rice cooker, combine 1 cup rice and 1-1/2 to 2 cups water in electric rice cooker pot. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes before cooking. Continue as directed by rice cooker manufacturer. When cooking is complete, allow rice to stand covered for 10 minutes before serving. Makes 3 cups cooked rice.
