  • Caution: Ice crystals on frozen foods can cause spattering when added to hot oil. Add product carefully. Appliance temperatures may vary and need to be adjusted depending on your appliance. This is not a ready to eat food product. For food safety and quality internal temperature of 165 degrees F without over browning. Preparation Suggestion: Stove Top: Preheat 4 t of oil or margarine in skillet over medium-high heat (350 degrees F). Carefully add 4 C hash browns. Cook 4-5 minutes then turn and cook and additional 4-5 minutes to a light golden brown, do not over brown. Do not stir or cover. Pay Fry with Water (Fat Free): Preheat non-stick skillet over Medium high heat (350 degrees F). Add a single layer of hash browns to skillet with 3 T of water. Cover and cook 5-9 minutes. Uncover, turn with spatula. Cook uncovered 5-8 minutes or until desired crispness. Note: Cook to a light golden brown. Season to taste and serve. Keep frozen.
