Caution: Do- Prep Time: 15 minutes. Cook Time: 1 hour. Makes 8 servings. You Will Need: 1 pkg. McCormick Cooking Bag & Seasoning Mix; 1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef; 1 egg, lightly beaten; 1/2 cup milk; 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs or 1 cup soft bread crumbs (2 slices bread); 4 cups cut-up fresh vegetables, such as potatoes, onions and bell peppers (about 1-inch pieces). 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Arrange opened cooking bag in 13x9-inch baking pan or dish. Mix ground beef, seasoning mix, egg, milk and bread crumbs in large bowl until well blended. 2. Shape meat mixture into 8x4-inch loaf. Place in bag. Add vegetables. Close bag loosely with nylon tie. Cut 4 small holes in top of bag to allow steam to escape. 3. Bake in lower half of oven 1 hour. Remove from oven. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut open bag. Slice meat loaf and serve with vegetables. If desired, serve with McCormick Brown Gravy or Mushroom Gravy. To prepare without vegetables: Shake 1 tbsp. flour in opened cooking bag. Proceed as directed, omitting vegetables. Important: Allow 8 inches for bag to expand while cooking.
