    Allergens and safety warnings

    Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, follow these safe handling instructions.

    Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils and hands after touching raw poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
  • Oven: Thaw duck from frozen in the refrigerator for 36 - 48 hours. Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove duck from bag. Remove neck, giblets and orange sauce packet from the body cavity. Season duck to taste. Roast uncovered, breast side up, on a rack in a roasting pan for 26 minutes per lb.

    4 lbs: 1 hour 45 minutes
    4-1/2 lbs: 2 hours
    5 lbs: 2 hours 10 minutes
    5-1/2 lbs: 2 hours 25 minutes
    6 lbs: 2 hours 35 minutes
    6-1/2 lbs: 2 hours 50 minutes

    Remove duck from oven when internal temperature reaches 180°F, measured at the thigh joint. The legs move freely and juices run clear when duck is done. One duck serves 2 - 4 people.
