Manufactured in a facility that also processes nut products.- Baking Instructions: You Will Need: For Brownies: 1 large egg; 2 tablespoons cold water. For Frosting: 1 tablespoon margarine or butter (if butter is used, brownies are not pareve); 1 tablespoon boiling water; mixing bowl & mixer. Brownie Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease enclosed baking pan. Mix: Because of the rich, thick texture of this batter, mixing by hand is not recommended. Empty the large bag of mix into mixing bowl. Add the egg and cold water. Beat on a low speed for 4 minutes. Pour batter into greased pan and spread evenly. Bake: Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack for 15 minutes. Frosting Prep: Empty the small bag of frosting mix into small bowl. Add 1 tablespoon margarine or butter (softened) and mix. Gradually add 1 tablespoon boiling water until desired spreading consistency is reached. Stir until smooth and spread on completely cooled brownies. Cut into squares and serve. Makes: about 6 servings. Preparation Time: about 10 minutes. Bake Time: 30 minutes. Tempting Variations: After mixing batter, fold 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, pecans or candy in the batter. (To fold, slide rubber scraper down through center of batter across bottom and up side of bowl, overturning batter.) For great recipes and more visit www.manischewitz.com.
