    Ingredients

    Wheat Flour, Sugar, Potato Starch, Vinegar Extract, Iodized Salt, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Onion Powder, Tomato Powder, Spices, Celery Powder Herbs (Bay Leaves, Thyme), Sunflower Oil, Citric Acid, Garlic Powder, Natural and Artificial Flavors (Contains Wheat).

  • You Will Need: 1 pound of meat (beef or venison), 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, i.e. sunflower, 1-1/2 cups of water. Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Brown meat on all sides and set aside. Add water to the meat juice and bring to a boil. Stir in pouch of Maggi Sauerbraten Seasoning Mix and bring back to a boil. Return the meat and cover pot, then roast at low temperature for 60-90 minutes (depending on meat cut or type). Stir the gravy occasionally and turn the meat only once. Tip: Can also be oven-roasted, covered, in an oven-proof roasting pan at 400 degrees F for 60-90 minutes (depending on size of roast). Remove lid about half way through cooking time.
