Warning: Always keep away from children Water will be hot, use care when pouring. Do not use force when plunging. Excessive force may cause hot liquid to shoot out of the pot, resulting in burns. Always aim pour spout away from body. Contents of pot are hot and pose a burn hazard. Care Instruction: Not for stovetop or microwave use. Not for use with metal spoons ,which can scratch or chip glass beakers and cause breakage. Use a plastic or wooden spoon for stirring. Pots that are scratched, chipped or cracked may break during use. Do not use pot if scratched, chipped or cracked.- Directions for Use: 1. Remove the complete lid and plunger assembly and add fresh medium to coarse ground coffee to the beaker. Coffee can be brewed according to taste; however, we recommend one rounded tablespoon (approx. 1/4 oz.) per cup of water. 2. Fill the beaker to just below the spout (leaving room for the plunger) with water that is just off boil. Water slightly below boiling point is ideal for a great cup of coffee. Carefully stir the grounds into the hot water. This ensures all the grounds are fully immersed. 3. Place the lid assembly onto the beaker with the plunger in its full upward position. Allow the grounds to steep in the water for 4 minutes. 4. Turn the spout away from you. Hold the handle with one hand and with the other hand carefully and slowly push the plunger down. This will trap the grounds under the plunger and coffee will be ready to be served. (If pushing the plunger down is difficult, try a coarser grind on your coffee.) 5. Serve immediately. Cleaning: Before first use, wash in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Never use an abrasive cleaner or cleaning tool as this will scratch the surface. Caution: Press will be hot when in use. To maintain the quality of your press, clean after each use. Hand wash only.
