Microwave: 1 Serving; 1 cup water; 1/4 cup grits; pinch salt (Optional). Stovetop: Servings: 1 serving; 1-1/2 cups water; 1/4 cup grits; pinch salt (Optional), Servings: 4 servings; 4-1/4 cups water; 1 cup grits; 1/4 tsp. Salt (Optional), Servings: 6 servings; 6-1/4 cups water; 1-1/2 cups grits; 1/2 tsp. Salt (Optional). Stovetop Directions: 1. Heat water to a boil in saucepan. 2 Stir in grits and salt; return to boil. 3. Cover, simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, cook longer or shorter for thinner or thicker grits.
