Please Note: This is an agricultural product. It is cleaned with modern equipment, but may still contain some foreign materials. We suggest you inspect the contents of the package before cooking.- Cooking Instructions: Cooking Tips: Pre-Cooking: Rinse the rice thoroughly, soak for 15 minutes. Measures: Open pan cooking - 5 cups of water for 1 cup of rice. Closed pan cooking - 2 cups of water for cup of rice. Add 1 tbs of butter or oil or margarine; and salt to taste. Cooking Methods: Open Pan Cooking: Open Pan: Bring water to rolling boil. Add the rice and stir gently. Cook uncovered for 6-7 minutes on medium heat. Drain and rinse with more boiling water. Closed Pan Cooking: Closed Pan: Bring water and rice to boil. Cover pan with a tight lid and let it simmer for 9-10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to stand covered for 5 minutes. Microwave: Place the soaked rice and water in a bowl. Stir once and cover with a cling film. Cook for 6 minutes. Remove bowl from the oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving. (For a 650 watt Oven, microwave less than 1-1/2 cups of rice at a time). Electric Rice Cooker: Place the soaked rice in the cooker. Add the measure water. Switch on the cooker. The rice cooker will automatically switch from the 'cook' to 'keep warm' mode. Allow the rice to steam at the 'keep warm' position for 10-15 minutes. Use more water if rice was too hard or less water if it was too soft. Storage Instructions: Keep this rice in cool & dry place. For longer shelf life, keep refrigerated.
