  • Thaw breakfast sausage in refrigerator for 8 - 12 hours prior to use. Follow the thawed cooking instructions below.

    For Sausage Patties: Slice completely thawed sausage 1/2 inch thick to form patties. Lightly spray a nonstick pan and place on medium heat. Ensure that the oil is slightly glistening and place patties evenly in pan without touching. Cook on one side for 3 - 4 minutes. Flip patties and cook for additional 3 - 4 minutes. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F as measured by a food thermometer.

    For Sausage Crumbles: Preheat a skillet on medium heat. Add oil or cooking spray to lightly coat pan. Add sausage to hot skillet, breaking into smaller pieces with a spatula. Continue to cook for approximately 6 - 8 minutes until the internal (at its thickest parts) temperature reaches 165°F as measured by a food thermometer.

    Color is not an accurate indicator of doneness. Do not microwave. Appliances vary; adjust cooking time accordingly. Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.
