How Many Cups Per Day?
Find your dog's weight below and use a standard 8-oz measuring cup.

Toy (3 - 12 lbs): ½ – 1-¼ cup
Small (13 - 25 lbs): 1-¼ – 2 cups
Medium (26 - 50 lbs): 2 – 3-⅓ cups
Large (51 - 100 lbs): 3-½ – 5-⅔ cups
Extra Large (100+ lbs): 5-⅔ cups*
*Add 1/2 cup for every 10 lbs of body weight over 100 lbs.

Food intake requirements vary depending on age, activity and environment. Adjust accordingly to maintain optimum body condition.

Feeding for growth:
Puppies 4 weeks – 6 months: Approximately 1/2 – 2/3 cup for every 2 lbs of body weight
Puppies 6 months – 12 months: Approximately 1/3 – 1/2 cup for every 2 lbs of body weight

Feeding for Reproduction:
During gestation, food consumption may vary. Feed the amount needed to maintain a pregnant female's good body condition. During lactation, food intake may double or even quadruple.

Start by substituting a small amount of your dog's current food with Heritage Ranch by H-E-B. Over the next 7 – 10 days, gradually increase the amount of Heritage Ranch while decreasing the amount of your dog's previous food.
