- Clean regularly using vacuum cleaner without beater brush, on a low-power setting to prevent dust and crumbs from seeling into the roots of the fibers. For best results, vacuum from different directions, making several passes over the area. Due to the handmade nature of the product, shedding of loose fibers will occur but will diminish over time with regular vacuums. Expect the most shedding to occur within the first 3-6 months. Vacuum regularly to prevent dust and crumbs from settling into the roots of the fibers. Avoid direct and continuous exposure to sunlight. Use rug protector under the legs of heavy furniture to avoid flattening pile. Do not pull loose ends. Clip with scissors and remove. Turn rug around occasionally to equalize wear. Remove spills immediately. If liquid, blot with clean, undyed cloth by pressing firmly around the spill to absorb as much as possible. For hard to remove stains, professional rug cleaning is recommended. Store your rug by rolling it front side out and wrapping in cloth of protection. Do not fold or put in an airtight plastic bag. Place in a dry, well-ventilated area. Use of a rug pad is recommended. Avoid direct sunlight. Indoor use only.
