Contains milk. May contain egg, soy and wheat ingredients.- For food safety and quality, follow the cooking directions. You Will Need: 2 cups hot water. 1/2 tsp Salt. 2 tbsp Butter. For Topping: 2/3 cup milk. 1 lb Lean ground beef or ground turkey or 1 lb ground sausage. 1 Cook: cook ground meat in 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes, breaking up and stirring. Drain; return cooked meat to skillet. Stir in hot water, salt and butter. Gently stir in potatoes. Heat to boiling over high heat, stirring gently, until butter is melted. 2 Cover: Reduce heat to medium. Spread mixture evenly:; press firmly. Cover; cook 10 minutes, without stirring. Uncover and continue to cook until liquid is absorbed and bottom is golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes. While potatoes are cooking, stir milk and topping mix in bowl with whisk or fork. Set aside to thicken. 3 Turn: Turn potato mixture over in sections. Spread evenly; press firmly. Increase heat to medium-high. Cook 2 to 4 minutes or until bottom is golden brown. 4 top: remove from heat. Add topping. Try with ground sausage instead of ground beef. Add your own twist! Turn this flavor up! Cook spicy ground sausage in place of ground beef. Stir in chopped green bell pepper just before simmering. Stir in cooked scrambled eggs just before serving. For extra zip, serve with hot sauce.
