A fertilizer spreader is the easiest way to distribute in large areas and ensures even coverage. H-E-B- Texas Backyard Organics All Purpose Granular Fertilizer Should be applied every spring summer and fall as maintenance. Potted Plants: If mixing H-E-B Texas Backyard Organics All Purpose Granular Fertilizer into potting mix before planting, use at a rate of 2 tablespoons per gallon of potting mix thereafter, use 1 tablespoon of H-E-B Texas Backyard Organics All Purpose Granular Fertilizer as a maintenance every other month. Flower and Vegetable Gardens: Apply at a rate of 30 pounds per 1000 sq. ft. every other month for maintenance. Trees: Apply at a rate of 1 pound for each inch of trunk diameter. Repeat every 3 months during growing season. Roses: Apply at a rate of 2 ounces (1/3 cup) per bush. All areas should be watered after application.
