Description

Sweet Texas Pecan Snack Mix
9 cups H-E-B Rice Squares cereal
5 oz slivered almonds
6 oz chopped pecans
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1-1/2 cups light brown sugar
Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Lightly grease a large roasting pan. In a large bowl, mix cereal, slivered almonds and chopped pecans. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and mix with dark corn syrup and light brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the crispy cereal mixture. Stir and shake to coat all the nuts and cereal. Pour coated mixture into the prepared roasting pan. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool on wax paper and store in an airtight container.
