  • Grill: Preheat gas grill for 10 minutes with lid closed or heat charcoal for 40 minutes until ash-covered. Cook patties for 5 minutes per side over medium-low heat (325°F is ideal). Bank coals on one half of the grill or reduce gas heat to low. Move patties to the cool side (indirect heat), close lid and cook for 5 - 7 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
