  • Shake well before opening. Pour mole sauce into a saucepan. Warm over medium heat and serve over meat or vegetables.

    Pan-Seared Chicken Thighs with Mole Poblano
    Makes 4 servings

    1 lb skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs (about 4)
    Kosher salt
    Ground pepper
    1 Tbsp canola oil
    17 oz H-E-B Mi Tienda Poblano Mole Sauce
    1 Tbsp white sesame seeds (optional)

    Heat oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper on both sides. Place chicken skin side down into skillet. Sear chicken until skin is golden brown (5 – 6 minutes). Flip chicken over and continue cooking for an additional 5 – 6 minutes. Pour mole sauce directly into the skillet, bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium. Adjust sauce thickness with water or broth if needed. Cover and cook until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165°F (5 – 10 minutes). Serve with mole sauce on top and garnish with sesame seeds.
