Safe Handling: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection, follow these Safe Handling Instructions.
Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils and hands after touching raw meat. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.- Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F. Place oven roasting bag on a 9" x 13" baking sheet. Add 1 Tbsp flour and 1-½ cups of water to the bag and mix well. Add vegetables to bag, breaking up large pieces, and season with 1 Tbsp seasoning from the packet. Add chuck roast to bag and use remainder of seasoning to cover each side of the roast. Close bag with nylon tie about 1" away from the roast. Cut six ½" slits in top of the bag. Roast in center of oven for 2 – 2-½ hours until fork-tender and to a minimum internal temperature of 165°F. Other Option: Cook roast in a slow cooker on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours.
