  • Allergens and safety warnings

Not intended for those who wear orthodontic braces, dentures or other dental appliances. Do not form to the teeth if sores are present in or around the mouth. Discontinue use if the formed Dental Guard does not stay comfortable in place, becomes easily dislodged from the teeth or causes a gag reflex. Discontinue use if you bite completely through the tray. Discontinue use if you experience a soreness or uncomfortable reaction on the soft tissue on the inside of your mouth. Not to be used for children under the age of 18.
  • Suggested Use: Dental Guard dental tray is designed to be worn only on the upper arch at night as a protection for those who suffer from the nighttime grinding of teeth. Care: After use, rinse under cold tap water. Store in the vented storage. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from excessive heat. Forming Instructions: Bring water to a boil in a container on the stove or in a microwave. The water should be approximately 4 inches deep so that the entire tray will be immersed, keeping the tab above the water. After the water has come to a boil, remove the container from the heat source. Hold the Dental Guard by the tab and immediately place in hot water, keeping the tab above the water. Keep the tray immersed in the hot water for 7-10 seconds or until the tray begins to soften. Do not let go of the tab while immersing the tray in the water. Caution: Water and container will be hot! Lift the Dental Guard from the water using the tab, allowing all the water to drain from the inside of the tray. Place the Dental Guard around your upper teeth. The tray will be warm but will not burn. Do not bite down on the tray (the formed tray should have no imprint of the lower teeth). Secure the Dental Guard by pressing your tongue against the back of your upper teeth. While holding the tray firmly in this position, suck out all air and water until the tray molds to a tight fit around your upper teeth. After 20 seconds, remove the Dental Guard from your mouth and rinse under cold tap water. If you do not get a tight fit, repeat the fitting procedure. Once satisfied with the fit, cut or pull off the front fitting tab. For smaller mouths, the Dental Guard may be shortened by cutting along rib marks just above the arrows. Placing the tray in warm water will smooth any rough edges from trimming the tray with scissors.
