    Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Stovetop: Pour about 1 quart of water into a medium saucepan and submerge 1 bag of brown rice. Bring water to a boil and boil uncovered for 10 minutes. Remove bag from water with fork or tongs and allow to drain. Cut open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish. Add margarine and salt to taste if desired.

    Microwave: In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish, submerge 1 bag of brown rice in water (about 1 quart). Microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes. Remove bag from water with fork or tongs and allow to drain. Cut open and empty cooked rice into a serving dish.
