  • Oven: Preheat oven to 325°F. Trim excess fat and season well. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Brown meat. Add 1-1/2 cups broth, juice or water. Add chopped vegetables and cover tightly. Simmer in the oven for 1- 1/2 - 2 hours until tender. Skim fat from pan juices and thicken for gravy if desired.
