Description

Whole wheat roti, or chapati, is a popular Indian‑style flatbread that can complete a meal. Great to help cool the palate when eating spicy dishes or tucking meat and cooked veggies into one yummy bite, this roti is unleavened and made with atta (whole wheat flour) and just enough water to make the dough soft and flexible. Pressed in store, the dough is cooked on a flat skillet, resulting in a thin, round disc that's slightly puffy. Switch things up at dinnertime by serving fresh roti in place of pita or naan bread. From our H‑E‑B Bakery.

• Whole wheat roti flatbread
• Thin, round and puffy disc that's unleavened (no yeast)
• Made from atta (whole wheat flour)
• Dough is pressed in store and cooked on a skillet
• Native to India and popular around the world
• Great with curries, stews and cooked veggies
• Makes a good substitute for naan or pita bread
