  • Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection. Follow these safe handling instructions. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard. Microwave ready perfectly roasted in approximately 20 minutes. Cooking instructions (Cooking instructions are completely defrosted chicken only. Cooking ready to roast chicken while frozen is not recommended.): Cooking instructions based on 1200 watt microwave oven. Microwave and conventional ovens vary. Adjust time accordingly. When cooking in either microwave or conventional oven do not remove chicken from the cook-in bag. For microwave ovens: (1) Remove Ready to Roast Chicken from its outer bag. Do not remove the specially designed cook-in bag containing the chicken. (2) Place Ready to Roast Chicken in its cook-in bag on a microwave-safe plate and cut two 1/2-inch slits in the top center of the bag. (3) Microwave on High for 20-25 minutes. Always cook poultry to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F with a meat thermometer inserted in the breast without touching the bone. (4) Remove Ready to Roast Chicken from microwave and let stand for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, cut bag open lengthwise in the center (as illustrated above), being careful of steam and hot juices. Move chicken to carving board or serving platter. For Conventional Ovens: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cut slits in cook-in bag (as illustrated above). Pace completely defrosted Ready to Roast Chicken in its cook-in bag in an oven safe roaster and bake for 16-20 minutes per pound. Do not remove the chicken from the cook-in bag! Keep refrigerated or frozen.
