- If your shoes' insoles are removable, take them out first. 1) To test for size, place the Dr. Scholl's insoles against the back of your removable insoles, lining up the heels of both. If needed, trim the new insoles to your shoe size, using the guide at the bottom of the Dr. Scholl's insoles. If your shoes' insoles can't be removed, simply trim the Dr. Scholl's insoles to your shoe size. 2) Slide the insole into your shoe, toe area first, with the fabric side up. Make sure the insole lays flat against the bottom of your shoe, especially in the toe area, and that the insole heel rests firmly in the heel of your shoe. If the insole doesn't fit without bunching, especially in the toe area, continue to trim as needed. Instructions for use above.
