Nutrisca is one of the only grain-free recipes without potato or tapioca, which are high on the glycemic index and may contribute to weight gain. Instead, low glycemic chickpeas and peas are included as excellent sources of protein, fiber and folic acid. Low glycemic ingredients provide better digestibility for sustained energy. Daily Feeding Guidelines: 10 lbs or less: 1/4 to 1 cup dry food. 11-20 lbs: 1 to 1-1/4 cups dry food. 21-40 lbs: 1-1/4 to 2 cups dry food. 41-60 lbs: 2 to 2-1/2 cups dry food. 61-80 lbs: 2-1/2 to 3 cups dry food. 81-100 lbs: 3 to 3-1/2 cups dry food. 101-120 lbs: 3-1/2 to 4 cups dry food. For Dogs Over 120 lbs: Add 1/4 cup per additional 10 lbs. For Puppies: Feed 25% more than listed on the chart. For Gestating and Lactating Dogs: Food consumption may be more than doubled during this period. Based on a standard 8 oz measuring cup. Fresh water should be available at all times.
