- Icing:
Massage the icing pack until it feels smooth. Cut a small opening at one corner of the icing pouch.
Building the House:
Line the 4 canals of the Simple Start Tray with a thin strip of icing. Gently break apart the gingerbread side panels and detach the chimney from the front panel. Lay out the pieces on a table. On the reverse side (rough side) of the front and back panels, ice a thick line of icing. Using the Simple Start Tray, insert the back panel of the house into the canal, then press a side wall up against the icing strip on the back panel. Repeat with the front panel and other side wall. Adjust walls to make sure the pieces are joined together securely before adding the roof. Apply a thick strip of icing to the top peak edges of the front and back house panels. Gently attach roof pieces to the house peaks and hold in place until secure. Line a strip of icing down the middle of the roof pieces and continue to hold until icing sets. Attach the chimney by icing the diagonal edge and gently placing it on one roof side. Let the house dry a few minutes before decorating.
Decorating:
Add snow and icicles to the roof with icing. Add a candy trim around the roof. Add mini decorating cookies. To use the scene setters, cut on the dotted lines and fold back each side of the base on the solid lines. Place scene setters around your gingerbread house. If needed, use a dab of icing on the bottom to help your scene setter stick to the surface.
