  • Yield: Sauce for 5 lbs headless shrimp. Half Recipe: 3 tbsp sauce mix, 1/2 other ingredients. Other Items Required: 1 lb butter or margarine, 1/4 cup (2 fl oz) olive oil, black pepper. 1) Wash shrimp in cold water, draining well. Divide shrimp among several baking dishes roughly one layer thick with overlapping acceptable. 2) Heavily sprinkle black pepper over shrimp in shells until black pepper covers and obscures most of shells. This will seem to be an excessive amount of pepper-yet the procedure is correct. Oven Baked Directions: 1) Melt 1 lb butter or margarine or a combination with 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup - 2 fl oz) olive oil. Bring to simmer over low heat; slowly blend in package contents. Simmer 5 minutes; remove from heat. Steep, taste; add lemon slices if stronger lemon flavor is desired. 2) Pour sauce over shrimp proportionally. Bake in 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) oven for 20-25 minutes, basting and turning several times. After 10-15 minutes, sample shrimp to determine when fully cooked. Salt to taste.
