Allowing your child to use this product for a prolonged period of time with liquids other than water may cause or contribute to early childhood tooth decay. For Your Child's Safety and Health: Check the spout cup before each use. If any damage or crack is detected, stop using the spout cup immediately. Always use this product with adult supervision. Continuous and prolonged sipping of fluids will cause tooth decay. Always check the food temperature before feeding. Do not allow child to play with small parts or walk/run while using bottles or cups. Keep all components not in use out of the reach of children. Caution: Before first use, disassemble all parts and clean and sterilize them thoroughly. Place the spout cup in boiling water for 5 minutes. This is to ensure hygiene. The spout cup is also suitable for electric and microwave sterilization. Only use a microwave sterilizer or Philips Avent microwave sterilizing bags (SFC297) to sterilize any part of the spout cup in the microwave. Make sure all parts are properly assembled before you give the spout cup to your child. This spout cup is intended for use with diluted drinks. Water and milk are the best drinks for children of any age. Thick, fizzy or pulpy drinks may block the valve arid cause it to break or leak This spout cup is not designed for preparing infant formula. Do not use the spout cup to mix and shake infant formula as this can clog the holes and cause the spout cup to leak. Do not overtighten the drinking top on the spout cup. Do not use the spout as a pacifier. Spouts are available separately. Only use Philips Avent spouts. Do not use the spout and handles with a glass bottle. Do not put the spout cup in the freezer compartment. To prevent scalding, let hot liquid cool down before you fill the spout cup.- Important: Read this user manual carefully before you use the spout cup and save it for future reference. Always assemble and disassemble the spout cup as shown in the figure in this user manual. Cleaning and Sterilization: After each use, disassemble all parts and clean them thoroughly in warm water and some washing-up liquid. You can also clean all parts on the top rack of the dishwasher. Do not use abrasive or anti-bacterial cleaning agents or chemical solvents. Do not place parts directly on surfaces that have been cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaners. Food colorings can discolor parts. After cleaning, sterilize the spout cup. The spout cup is suitable for all methods of sterilization. Storage: For hygiene and maintenance, disassemble the spout cup and store it in a dry and covered container. Keep the spout cup away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
