Alaffia’s simply unscented Authentic African Black Soap is made from a centuries-old recipe of handcrafted shea butter and West African palm oil†. Black soap is known by its Yoruba name, Ossé Dudu. Dudu means "black," which comes from extensive cooking of the soap to the point of charcoal. Ocimum Canum (African Mint) Aqueous Extract, Saponified Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter and Elaeis Guineesis (Palm Kernel Oil) (Orangutan Safe) Oil, Lauryl Glucoside.- To Use: Apply to your washcloth of choice and work into a soft lather. Rinse thoroughly. Follow with our EveryDay Shea or EveryDay Coconut Lotion. Great for daily, multi-purpose use - try it as a facial cleanser, shampoo, hand soap or shaving lotion.
