I would like to arrange my
grocery list items so they correspond to their aisle location in the
store. Where do I get a store map of my local H-E-B?
Store maps are available at the Business Services counter at your local H-E-B store. They offer an aisle-by-aisle guide to the categories of products available on the shelves.
As our stores expand and improve, some products may move to other locations in the store before the store maps are updated, so be sure to make a quick check of the signs hanging at each end of the aisles before you organize your grocery list.

How can H-E-B assure me that its fruits and vegetables do not contain unsafe levels of pesticide?
In 1989, H-E-B launched an aggressive program to test levels of pesticide residue in produce. The test involves pulling samples from approximately 30 loads of produce every week and screening them for over 150 different pesticides. We review the test results before the produce is shipped from our warehouse
Because of the program's high standards, H-E-B has earned a reputation within the produce-growing community as being very tough on pesticide residue. As a result, growers with questionable pesticide practices hesitate before offering their produce for sale to us. In fact, the percentage of incoming produce loads with illegal residues has dropped from 2.7 percent when the program started to less than 1 percent todaypretty good evidence that the program is working.
This program reflects our commitment to providing the highest quality and freshest produce every day to our customers.

What does the expiration date mean on a product?
H-E-B uses sell-by dates, use-by dates and expiration dates as a guideline for shoppers to determine the freshness of perishable products.
Sell-by Dateindicates how long we display a product on the shelf. To ensure you get the freshest product available, we recommend that you buy perishable items on or before the sell-by date.
Use-by Dateindicates the last date recommended for use of the product while it is still at peak quality. The product's quality and freshness is guaranteed only up to that date.
Expiration Dateindicates the last date that the product can be sold.
Remember, even if a product date expires during home storage, a product should be safe and of good quality as long as the safe handling and storage instructions printed on the label are followed.

Why couldn't I install the coupon printer?
If you are experiencing problems installing the Coupon Printer there may be a few reasons:
1. You may not have permission to download programs on your computer or you are using software that blocks the installation.
If you are trying to print coupons at work or from a computer at a library, Internet café, or university, you may not have permission to download and install programs onto the computer you are using. This may be true even if you've downloaded and installed other files. Contact your network administrator for more information. If you have a home computer, you may find it easier to access our coupons there.
You might also be running software that prevents installation on your computer. Please make sure to turn off any anti-virus software or any anti-spyware or adware software. While we have attempted to work with most of the major publishers of such software to ensure that our Coupon Printer is not blocked, there may be programs that block the installation, or put up a warning that you are about to install a program. You should choose to allow the installation.
2. The security settings in your browser are set too high.
If you receive warnings or errors that an attempt to install and ActiveX control (Internet Explorer) or a plugin was blocked, or are asked for permission to install a program, you may need to change your browser's security settings to allow installation of these types of controls. Also, make sure to click the appropriate buttons in any dialog boxes that appear to allow the installation. Modern browers make you jump through a few hoops to install plugins, but it's worth it.
3. Your operating system or browser is incompatible.
Coupon printing is currently supported on Windows Operating Systems Vista, XP, and 2000 when used with Internet Explorer 6+, FireFox 1+, Netscape 8+, and most MSN and AOL browsers.
If you are unable to print when using an MSN, AOL, or Compuserve browser, please try printing your coupon using Internet Explorer 6+. Coupon printing is currently supported on Macintosh OSX 10.3 or higher when used with Safari 2+ and FireFox 2+. Coupon printing is not supported on Linux or WebTV.
